The current museum will be open until the end of 2008 and is slated to reopen its new and innovative facility in 2010. After a visit to the museum, take in sites and fun of the Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center. Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center is just minutes away from Stuart. It is situated between the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian River Lagoon. Activities include a library, nature trails, Children's Activity Pavilion, Rays on the Reef Ray Pavilion and the Frances Langford Visitor's Center.
If you have designs on shopping, visit one of Florida’s largest shopping malls just north of Stuart: Treasure Coast Square. It stands at a whopping 1.2 million square feet and houses over 120 shops, featuring Sears, J.C. Penney, Macy’s and Dillard’s.
